The company also serves as Sprint's master contractor for northeastern Tennessee and southwestern Virginia with key offices in Kingsport, Tennessee and Galax, Virginia. Star continues to experience increased activity with independent telephone companies in Tennessee and Kentucky, rebuilding major networks with fiber optics to replace copper feeder routes, using REA standards to bid such projects.
